The 2021 Britannia silver coin continues the tradition of issuing popular mintings of The Royal Mint. This has been going on since 1997. New for 2021, the design of the coin has incorporated additional security features including surface animation, a latent image, tincture lines, and micro text to provide an added layer of security.

Obverse side displays the 5th effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (by Ian Rank-Bradley), along with the face value. 

Reverse side features the legendary figure of Britannia holding a trident and shield. Theme varies according to the year of issue and the author is a renowned sculptor Philip Nathan.
