Perth Mint's Gold Kangaroos are one of the world's most popular investment coins. They have been minted since 1986, but at that time the coins were the motif of the gold nuggets ("The Australian Nugget"), and since 1989 they have been minted with the classic kangaroo motif - the symbol of Australia.
Coins are minted from the purest 24-carat gold, the purity is 99.99%. They have legal tender status in Australia.
The obverse shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. (by Jody Clark) with the word ELIZABETH II. with year of issue and face value.
On the reverse of the coin we can find a kangaroo - the symbol of Australia. It is interesting that since 1989 every year the kangaroo motif has been changed, which increases the numismatic value of the coins. The motif is complemented by the inscription "KANGAROO", year, weight, purity and the "P" brand marking Perth Mint.
Coins are minted in 6 sizes: 1kg, 1-oz, 1/2-oz, 1/4-oz, 1/10-oz and 1/20-oz. The larger the coin, the lower the premium.
The coinage is changed according to the current offer. The coin is packed in a protective capsule.
